Hi to all

I am a new member here at the Spanish Indy forum. I have been a member for a while now over at Club Obi Wan so I probably have seen many of your posts over there.

Just thought you guys might be interested in a project that myself, a friend and my brother are working on, a 1:1 scale replica of the golden mask of Orellana from the crypt sequence in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The sculpt is pretty much complete and just requires minor finishing before we mold it to cast out, clean-up and paint.

It is completed!

The final sculpt for the Mask of Orellana has been finished.

It will be put into mold later today/tomorrow.

One of the things I like is the texture in the surface , but ALL the work is really awesome!!!
Are you going to sell copies? What kind of material?Resins?

It's very very close to the original! Congratulations!

I don't like so much the mouth (poorly detailed

) and the nose, which is too straight. Look the picture (Here bigger):

In the other hand you have achieved a great texture on your piece. It's awesome! And the eyes... you hit the nail with the eyes (this is painful... ouch!

), perfect.

So here you go, a cast out, cleaned up and painted mask. Weathering will be added shortly.

Totally agree with Chaval-ot:

you should re-work the mouth area and nose, wich is not as straight as you made it.

also, the surface texture seems to be... excessive (but it's a matter of personal taste)

What kind of silicone did you use? The copy looks really good. Where did you put the pouring hole? I can't believe how you casted the upper part so sharp. Great! Truly effective method-
